Tired of e-mailing photos and screenshots to yourself just to get them onto your computer? CameraSync will make sure theyre all ready & waiting for you.

Recommended by Lifehacker.com: "Call me lazy, but I dont like plugging my phone into my computer just to get all my pictures. CameraSync fixes this annoyance by wirelessly sending all new photos you take to Dropbox. In fact, if you prefer a different online backup program (like Flickr, Amazon S3, SkyDrive, an FTP server or Box.net) you can do that too. Its essentially like an Eye-Fi for your iPhone—which is pretty awesome."

• Background Location Syncs - CameraSync can automatically start uploading your photos in the background when you arrive at certain locations, such as your home or office. (This feature is only available on devices that support geofencing; thats the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and current iPad)
• Continue Uploading - after starting the app CameraSync can upload your photos even in the background while you use other apps (for a maximum of 10 minutes). It will even alert you when its done.
• Zero Interaction Required - once youve setup your accounts, all you need to do is open CameraSync to keep your remote photos up to date. You dont need to pick which photos to upload, or confirm the upload, or fiddle with settings - it just works!
• Full Quality Uploads - CameraSync doesnt compress or resize your photos & videos so they are uploaded in the full quality you took them in, no pixels left behind! It also keeps all of the EXIF metadata saved by your camera.
• Smart Syncing - CameraSync remembers what it has uploaded so if you delete a remote file you dont want anymore, it wont just sync it again.
• iPad Support - CameraSync can upload photos youve imported to your iPad using the iPad Camera Connection Kit, or photos taken on your iPad.
• Works with most third party photo taking or editing apps such as Hipstamatic and Camera+ - in fact itll work with any app that saves pictures or videos to the Camera Roll.

Limitations
CameraSync requires location services to be enabled on your device, and to be allowed access to location services. This is because photos taken with iOS devices store the location in which they were taken. CameraSync is a one way sync designed to sync photos & videos from your iOS device to various online services. SkyDrive currently only supports photos and videos under 100MB.

Pros and cons of CameraSync app for iPhone and iPad

CameraSync app good for

Perfect App !! Allow to sync with iPhoto trough a Mac OSX script !! fast and lot of option, so good, Thanks you !!
génial et simple dutilisation... Dommage que le WebDAV ne marche pas sur mon synology. Great application. Too bad the WebDAV does not workflows with my synology.
Simple but highly useful App to upload your photos to various destinations. Great support and constantly updated, worth every cent!
Works like a charm! The only error I found is that EXIF data of photos arent uploaded to flickr correctly. So, in flickr photos appear as if they were taken the time they were uploaded.
Macht was es soll, synchronisiert automatisch mit dropbox und skydrive wenn Location aktiviert ist!
nothing to care how to save pictures anymore together with 1TB off space on flickr. The only pity is that I couldnt find out yet how to prevent synchronising pictures you took and deleted at once because they get uploaded nevertheless.

Some bad moments

Impossible to upload anything to my Box.net account; so, Ive got 50 GB for free - from Box.net -, but Ive paid 1,59€ for a useless app! And youll never get an answer from the support staff! - Im not sure if it really exists -.
The background sync feature is not working. I have to open CameraSync every single time when i shot a new picture, to trigger/start the upload to my dropbox. A bit annoying and missing the point of automated syncing actually.
With latest app update, account settings get lost very new app start ( iPhone5 with iOS 6.0.1.). App now crashes very often. When sync from date on, the app did not recognize photos already uploaded and does every time the full job. Background service is not working for 2 month now!!!
Despite its name, this app does not sync photos, but rather upload them. When a photo is deleted from the cloud, it does not get deleted on the camera roll. Also, takes forever to sync with Dropbox folders containing thousands of photos already. Sounds like a promising app though. I will keep following you in hope to have a true sync app soon enough.
I really like the goal of this app, but for my needs at least theres a huge issue that prevents me from using it. If you choose Flickr as your upload destination the app ignores any privacy settings you set from CameraSync. ALL photos are uploaded as publicly viewable even when privacy is set to "private" in the app. Ive reproduced this bug a number of times and all attempts to contact the developer have been unanswered. If you use Flickr Id stay away until this is addressed.
Its hella slow, Im uploading 260 pics, about 20 are short vids 1 min or under. I start at bedtime and have to leave screen on or app will cancel every time. Its been going now for an hr and only at 4% so far. Speed it up and Ill amend my rating, let the uploads continue I. Background and ill give another star also.
